Joined A Book Club
And this is the first book I had to read. Not something I'd normally pick up, but trying something new is the point of a book club, I guess. It was pretty good, actually. And, after reading it, I will definitely NEVER try crack. Not that I was likely to, anyway.
The club meets at Chapters the first Thursday of the month at 7pm. I actually used to interview the lady in charge every month. I always wanted to join, but 7 was too close to my bedtime. Now that I no longer have to go to work in the middle of the night, I can stay awake past 8:30pm.

I don't know. Next month will be my first meeting. I went to a reading by Beth Powning at Chapters a few weeks ago, and a few of the members were there. What kind of book club are you in?
I always feel very sorry for the authors at book signings where no one shows up. They're either sitting there smiling bravely, or trying to keep busy signing the big piles of books surrounding them. The Beth Powning one was great, though. A fair number of people showed up, and they were all big fans, so I didn't have to feel sorry for her at all.
