PEI lighthouse wish fulfilled

So, being a bit of a lighthouse freak, I had always wanted to see the lighthouses at the extreme ends of PEI, East Point and North Cape. Two years ago we did East Point. Last summer we did North Cape. But it was so much better than just that. We stayed at the West Point Lighthouse Inn in West Point, at the western tip at the bottom of PEI. An inn inside (mostly attached to) a lighthouse! The North Cape lighthouse was overshadowed by some kind of power plant and interpretive center. But the West Point lighthouse blew my mind. The black stripes are an unusual touch in this region.

What's not to like about a lighthouse, right! I've always wanted to visit PEI...and I will before I'm 50...so a little over 10 years to go before that happens. It would be sooner but that means I have to renew my passport...lol, I've been saying that for two years.
