The Burying Point


Incredibly old graves. Probably a third to half had the skull and wings decoration on them.

Ohhhh, I love the winged skulls, my favorite kind of stone decoration. I love that you can look at all the stones in a cemetary and they will look the same but when you start to examine them there are so many variations on the theme - I love the crowned skulls especially - different styles of crowns, different wings. So beautiful.

I have this thing for old graveyards and I think it's such a shame that modern ones are so creepy and boring. Just rows and rows of wasted space and ugly headstones.

Give me a winged skull.

There were some winged cherubs as well, and a few urn and weeping willow decorations.
