Finally, THE LESSON

What I learned from this basket purse:

Never submit a "best offer" thinking it won't be accepted.
NEVER bid on something without finding out what the shipping on it is, because that's how the seller will get their money if they feel your offer was too low!
Don't forget Customs wants their piece, too!
One "Nantucket Sleighride" Nantucket Basket Purse:
Best offer: $120 (U-S)
Shipping: $37 (U-S)
GST demanded on delivery: $24.99
Total: approx. $215 Canadian
Owning ultimate basket porn: priceless! I love it!

It's very nice.

I'd make fun of you, but my new eBay lens shipped today: $244.50 CDN

I'll call rehab and see if they have a double room available.

The ones I have are cheap knockoffs by a company called "Barlow." But they aren't very cheap!!

Holy Smokes! Well, they certainly are beautiful baskets. Now that you have them you can gloat and glow. I could go crazy like that with ceramic chickens!

Holy.
That's one expensive basket! Glad you love it. It's quite pretty. They all are.
I wasn't aware that there was a basket subculture. I live such a sheltered life.

Baskets are fun. My sister has a very expensive basket that she bought years ago. I think its stuck in her closet. Hmmm, I should see if I can get her to give it to me. It will never happen but its always fun to see if I can get her to give in.
