New Bike!

I saw this across a crowded bike shop and fell hopelessly in love. I easily convinced myself that I needed a new bike... my old mountain bike is 15 years old, falling apart and uncomfortable; I can drive the new one to work in the summer, thus saving gas and the environment and get some exercise at the same time, etc.
The thing that really swayed me though, even more than the comfort factor, is that it's shiny and new, and pretty! It's light green and has flowers on it!

I even got a wicker basket for it.

Now if this stupid snow would just hurry up and melt....

Oh, I like it! It's got a nice super low bar so you can wear a skirt and not have issues. My old "girls bike" had severe design flaws, to say the least. I was so going to say you need a wicker basket. All you need now are fenders so you don't get back splatters when its a little damp out. It's amaizing how quickly you can get dirty when there is just a hint of moisture on the street. Maybe its just me. I also tend to kick mud and gunk up on to the back of my pant legs when I walk. I'm just a freak of nature, I guess. Now I want a new bike too.

I also like that you don't have to bend over like on a mountain bike, so you don't have to worry about people seeing down your top!

It definitely needs a fender. And I don't think you're a freak, because I also kick up crap on the back of my legs when I walk, too. Or, maybe we're both freaks. ;)

It's so pretty! Sort of vintage & modern at the same time...

That's a great bike. I am hoping to get one like that this year, too. I was actually hoping to get one like that last year...
Can you post a pic of yours? Does the basket have scrimshaw on it? hahaha

I totally forgot that my bike now has a squeeze horn and those cheerleader things hanging off the handle bars. Want me to send my daughter to you to pimp it up?

The bike already has a bell, but I love those cheerleader things!

Oh this is SO much nicer than my crappy bike. So stylin' and girly. I want!! Definitely invest in fenders. I had to spend the day in a retail environment with spatters up my back once after riding my bike to work on a less than BONE dry day. I also love the sit up straight factor of your bike. Very feminine and non jock.
I too get back of the legs spatters. Is it possible not to?? Some sort of funky weird walk that prevents them?
