Damn right!
What happened to the pirate flag? You haven't gone straight have you?
Here ye go, ya absent-minded Sea Man.
I can't believe that you held out until the boy went to bed... That's self control!
What are you going to dive into first?
I don't know what to read first! All I know is I'm eating brownies tonight!
I also love books and amazon...but I read that buying on-line is very detrimental to the local tax base, so I've tried to slow down on doing it. Besides, local indie book stores need all the help they can get. The tax base issue, which helps your locality is what makes up for the slightly higher price you'll be paying for your books. (Phew, sorry to be such a priss about this...).
By the way, "Glass Castle" is a terrific read. Google Jeannette Walls afterward, and find the Vanity Fair article and the Q&A article. You find out some post-book info. Also, I hear she was on Oprah show...sorry I missed that episode...apparently her mother was on the show also. I would have loved to see her, for sure!
A whole lot more self control than I would have.
Yes, yes I know, Anonymous, but it's just so much fun to get books in the mail. Not to mention, I'm not even sure there ARE any indie book stores left around here...Chapters drove them all out! And at least by using Amazon I'm cutting out Heather Reisman. I hate her. She took away all the comfy chairs.
