The Boy Spent Most Of The Weekend With His Father

So Mommy spent most of the weekend on the couch. In sweats. I also didn't wash my hair. It was all very relaxing.
I did rent "The Shipping News," which I really like, despite it being one of the most depressing movies of all times.
I also made a chocolate-pear coffee cake, (it looks a little odd, but it's delicious) and quilted until my aching fingers couldn't hold the needle anymore.

...and watched all of Joe Dirt.

(Can't forget the cultural part of the weekend)

I wish I had time to learn to quilt but my knitting attempts keep me occupied.
(I watched "Clerks II" and "Undertaking Betty" (aka "Plots with a View") this weekend--one must have balance in all aspects of one's life)

Have never seen "The Shipping News", even though my daughter wants me to - have read the book though. Now, Joe Dirt - that's culture. LOL I loved that movie.

What a perfect weekend. I saw the movie and read the book. Gotta see Joe Dirt. Are you starting a new quilt or putting the backing on the other one. (I know nothing about quilting keep in mind.) I have a bit of fabric in case I ever get the bug though, which I hope I'll get in the near future. It always looks so beautiful.

Hi Schell! You should definitely absolutely watch Joe Dirt!
I'm quilting a log cabin that I made about two years ago. I tend to let my quilt tops "age for flavour."
