The Boy Spent Most Of The Weekend With His Father

I did rent "The Shipping News," which I really like, despite it being one of the most depressing movies of all times.
I also made a chocolate-pear coffee cake, (it looks a little odd, but it's delicious) and quilted until my aching fingers couldn't hold the needle anymore.

...and watched all of Joe Dirt.
(Can't forget the cultural part of the weekend)
Have never seen "The Shipping News", even though my daughter wants me to - have read the book though. Now, Joe Dirt - that's culture. LOL I loved that movie.
What a perfect weekend. I saw the movie and read the book. Gotta see Joe Dirt. Are you starting a new quilt or putting the backing on the other one. (I know nothing about quilting keep in mind.) I have a bit of fabric in case I ever get the bug though, which I hope I'll get in the near future. It always looks so beautiful.
Hi Schell! You should definitely absolutely watch Joe Dirt!
I'm quilting a log cabin that I made about two years ago. I tend to let my quilt tops "age for flavour."
Hi! good to see u again. I had lost track after you changed you blog address.
Happy New Year belated.
