I'm learning how to knit mittens! One of the girls at work is teaching me.
The three needle thing is bloody confusing, and I'm on my sixth start-over, but I think I'm starting to catch on!

Wow! Talk about jumping into it! Good going.
You'll be knitting mittens in no time. Once you get the hang of the Dps you will be fine. I love working with DP needles. The first thing I taught myself to knit was socks. Same idea as mittens, you will learn several techniques that will be invaluable when you go on to knit other items.
I see lots of mittens in the Boy's and Peter's future.
