A Real New Brunswick Gourmet Meal
Steamed fiddleheads, baked potato, and baloney with Kraft BBQ sauce.
I know baloney is revolting and doesn't count as real food, but God help me, sometimes I just have to have it.

What's a fiddlehead?
My husband was raised on a farm & has never been further east than Saskatchewan, but he loves fried bologna more than you'll ever know. My daughter must have been 14 or 15 when she finally realized that bologna wasn't an actual animal that was hunted in Newfoundland.
They're uncurled ferns. They grow on riverbanks in the spring. They're a Maritime thing.
When I start craving baloney, I can put it away like nobody's business!
Fiddleheads, baked potato - yes; baloney not so much.
Wow, fiddleheads. I'll have to ask my Mom about those. She & my Dad live in Newfoundland.
Sorry for stalking your blog. hahaha
I talked to my mom - she knew what they were & she likes them. hmmmm... Apparently (according to her, so I don't know if there's much accuracy to this) they're most popular in New Brunswick? That's where you are, right?
Yup!
