I Didn't Mean To Not Blog For Almost A Year
( $6.99 steak dinner at Ellis Island, LV, with Little Donny Osmond)
I've just been so busy, and I was so wiped out after we got back from Vegas that I thought I'd take just a few days off. And it somehow turned into several months.
It's been quite a year. Too many things to do, major job stress, my mother, who was sick for a long time, got really sick and passed away in July. Then about a month later, my elderly father, who lives an hour and a half away, broke his ankle. Fun stuff like that.
But it hasn't been an entirely bad year. Some of it was really great. Vegas was a BLAST. There were also some really fun weekend trips, lots of time at the beach, and a whole lot of crafting including several major finished objects. And major milestones for the Boy, as well. He's started grade one, is in his second year of hockey, is now in taekwondo, and just recently lost his first tooth. And we discovered this summer that he is one kick-ass soccer player.
Anyhoo, I've really missed blogging. I'm not much of a diary keeper, but a blog is a great way to remember all kinds of stuff that just slip away otherwise.
Vegas pictures to come. BTW, wasn't Donny Osmond AWESOME on Dancing With the Stars? So charming and professional and such a gentleman. And aging so well!
The show in Vegas was AMAZING!
