New Cross Stitch Project

Like I don't have enough half-finished crafty-things languishing in baskets and closets.
I've known my sister-in-law for almost 15 years, and in that whole time, she has only ever gone out with totally unsuitable men.
Now, she's finally met a suitable one, and they are building a house and getting married in June.
So, I'm making her a "Bless This House/wedding" sampler, not exactly like this one, but just as beautiful, for a wedding gift.

Wow, that looks lovely!

You really need to check out the Econo Museum I found out about this weekend. Its called London Wul Farms and its Waaay out Melanson road (off Gauvin). It was the nicest yarn shop I've ever seen. The woman who runs it makes all her own yarn. She also runs workshops and has a massive Newfoundland dog roaming around.

It was the highlight of my weekend.

I was there in the summer!! The place was empty, so the owner showed me all over and told me about everything about the place. It made me want to learn to knit.
If you want to see a really nice place, you should go out to Deanne Fitzpatrick's rug hooking studio in Amherst....even if you aren't a hooker (heh heh), it's just gorgeous...it's in a renovated barn.
