Aaaargh!!
Looks as though long-planned 4 day weekend is most likely off, due to co-worker having lost her voice to a nasty viral infection. Even if she is better by Thursday, virus will be spread around if she comes back. And, since we don't have enough staff to cover two people out...&$%#@!! I've been hosed! Oh well, will get days off later!

Personally, I practically detest being sick. I think sickness usually brings me down emotionally.
I don't want to sound like a preaching ass, but I would rather be in your position that the co-worker.
