Gators!

We went to an alligator farm outside Florida City.
We saw all kind of alligators, including baby alligators (they're disgusting.)
We went on an airboat ride through the Everglades which left us semi-deaf when it was over. There were all kinds of gators in the Glades, and it only occured to me when we were home what would have happened if the boat had capsized (a pig out for the gators.)
We saw the alligators being fed, the snake show, and the gator show.
The girl in the last two pictures is Desire, who works there and did all the shows. She's crazy. I asked her what in the hell she was doing working with all the creepy crawlies, and she said she's loved reptiles since she was a little girl, and had always wanted to work with them. She was only about 20, and I thought she was the coolest chick I'd ever seen.
Because I felt like such a wussy girl around her, I got up the nerve to hold a (gross) baby alligator (that's me puckering up) and I even overcame my horror of snakes to poke the big albino python!

When I went down to my grandparents one summer with the kids, We went to this one swimming area. It is a natural spring and the water stays the same temperature all year long, around 70 degrees. Anyways they would have people of gator watch. Thats right you would swim on one side and the gators swam on the other. You could also take boat rides out down the springs and see them up close and personal like. This place was just amazing. For the life of me I can not remember the name, but it is up by Tallahassee.

The pic of the baby gators gave me creepy goosebumps.
I think it's great that you two went to see this but omg. What if the boat capsized...that's just a horrible thought.
Desire is crazy, I totally agree.
