Happy New Year!
2008 was a good year:
- I got my boobs reduced!
- I got my eyeballs lasered!
- I conquered my fear of the dentist (the dentist is nothing after having your corneas sliced open by a laser, believe you me).
- I learned how to deal better with my difficult ex.
- I started running (and discovered I'm apparently not built for running without expensive orthotics)
- I saw a bunch of lighthouses, including the one at the eastern tip of PEI, which I've wanted to see for years.
- I rediscovered music, after years of working in AC radio had sucked the joy of music out of me.
- Discovered that I like really stupid Will Ferrell movies.
- Finished two UFOs that had been taking up space for four years, and made hooked rug of dreams, and actually knitted!
- And the Boy did all kinds of cool stuff in '08, like learning to ride a bike without training wheels, starting hockey and learning to read.
The Resolutions:
- Tackle the massive 'to be read' pile of books I already own, instead of buying even more. (The pic is what I'm starting out with).
- Eat more fruits and vegetables.
- Stop hemorrhaging money on stupid small things.
- Keep running.
- Keep purse and car clean.
- Finish "Shores of Hawk Run Hollow" cross stitch.

Happy New Year DH! I just wanted to "de-lurk" and say hello from the west coast. It looks like you've accomplished a lot for the year, and I am happy about your knitting. Also the rugs you made are stunning. I am in awe.
Since we've been in Victoria I've joined a knitting group and have had to step up my game a bit. It seems people take hobbies up with intensity here. I've done sweaters and fair isle and twisted stitch patterns... its a challenging crafty group, but still fun.
Say hi to Peter, and have fun today. I read your blog regularly and enjoy it a lot, so keep up
the great writing!

You've had a fabulous year indeed! Here's to 2009! But wait, you still have a book stash left? How can that be?!
My resolution is to have more fun! Sheesh! Tantamount to that will be dealing with teenagers -- The Girl is going to be 15 this year, that's all I'm saying.
Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy new year filled with ridiculous amounts of reading and traveling!
Happy New Year!
I'm all for more reading.
Wishing you and your loved ones the best that 2009 has to offer!!
Happy New Year to you as well!! You've had quite a few accomplishments this year - you should be so proud of yourself!!! I've really gotta get on my resolution list.
Great accomplishments and resolutions! How traumatic was the eye lasering? Hubby is after me to get mine done.
Happy New Year!
