Guardian Angel of Lost Things?

I was wearing this ring Monday afternoon, when I noticed the scrimshaw part had popped out. It's just something I got off ebay, but I really love it, and was very sad. I was at work, and had been to the mall that day, and it's very small, so I figured it was gone for good.

The next day when I was driving to work, I found it sitting in the ledge in front of the speedometer. I can't imagine how it got there.

Weird.
