What I've Been Reading

Blackbird House - The first book I've read by Alice Hoffman. I thought it was just beautiful.
Martha Gellhorn: A Life - The third Mrs. Hemingway, and a female war correspondant who held her own with the boys, but what a bitch! If you don't believe me, read some of the reviews.
Strange But True: Canadian Tales Of Horror and Terror - Because fall is the best time of year for spooky stories.

I started reading a book the other day...I suck. I just have not been in the mood. I need cold weather so I don't want to leave the house.

The reviews say she was pretty awful.
It says she ran over a kid. That qualifies as a bitch. And murderer.
I love when you do reviews. You help so much in picking out a book.
Those knitting mysteries aren't quite doing it for me.

She also was mean to her kid, her mom, all her friends, and she was constantly banging married men.

I once read a cross stitch murder mystery. It didn't do it for me, either.

Are you serious? There's a cross stitch mystery out there?

Yup. I can't remember the author's name. The main character owns a cross stitch store, goes off to a cross stitch retreat and finds a dead body. She also kept comparing the colours in nature to DMC floss. It was pretty stupid, actually.
The author has a whole series of them.
