I Have A Theory About Little Kids

Here is the Boy last week at the playground, looking like a drowned rat. In this picture, he is soaking wet from having run through some sprinklers. He is also a bit muddy. And, when this picture was taken, he had also had an accident in his big boy Curious George underpants.
If I was soaking wet, muddy, and had wet myself, I would be very uncomfortable, and very grumpy indeed. Not the Boy. He was as happy as a clam.
I think what makes adults comfortable is the opposite of what makes kids comfortable. It's the only explanation I can think of as to why the Boy is so happy being dirty, hates getting clean in the bath, and likes to sit in his own filth.

LOL!
That's the great thing about kids. They don't care.
They always think they look great no matter what. The worse they look the more entertained they are at their image. When do we lose that unselfconsciousness? (Is that a word?)

what is it about kids loving to sit in their own dirt? I sometimes think I have a case of OCD with the amount of times I wash my hands in the run of a day. I couldn't imagine relieving myself in my SpongeBob underwear...I think I was actually born potty trained - my mom was really lucky.

You probably were, Darlene.

I love the 'I don't care' attitude. Not that I want to sit in filth. You know what I mean.
That's a really cute picture, by the way.
