Martha Mac And Cheese

Late hours at work, and chasing around a two year-old means most meals I prepare have prep times of no more than 5 minutes. But I still very much enjoy the occasional foray into the kitchen for some leisurely culinary fun when time allows.
Yesterday afternoon, the Boy had a long nap, so I was able to make Martha Stewart's macaroni and cheese recipe. It's very tasty, with gruyere and white cheddar. The full recipe makes a ton! The cheese can also be a little pricey...the first time I made it, I spent $12 on the cheese!
It is a very nice change from KD.
The blackened, wizened things next to the macaroni are roasted brussels sprouts. They look and sound unattractive, but are incredibly tasty and easy, just trimmed, tossed in olive oil and sprinkled with lots of salt, then roasted in a hot oven for about half an hour. Unfortunately, they never look as attractive as in the cookbook photos.
