Robert The Doll

We went to the East Martello Museum in Key West to check out the real Robert the doll.

You're supposed to ask his permission to take his picture. There's a whole wall of letters from tourists thanking him for allowing them to photograph him, and letters from people relating unfortunate incidents that happened after they took his pic without asking. It's all in fun, but I asked his permission to take his picture, just to be on the safe side.

That is one butt ugly doll.

Time For Some House Porn!

We spent a night at "The Artist House" inn in Key West... that's the one haunted by Robert the doll, and allegedly several other ghosts.

They let me have a peek at the attic room where the doll was kept, but it's a guest room now, and isn't terribly creepy looking.

I would haunt the place, too, if was dead. It's gorgeous! They have a beautiful little courtyard in the back with hot tub. I was very sad when it was time to leave.
