One Thumb Up, One Thumb Down

I just finished watching this.
One thumb down for historical anomalies... the set designer apparently wasn't aware that wooden mini blinds complete with the pully thing on the cord didn't exist in Tennessee in 1817, plus there was a doll that shouldn't have been there.
One thumb up for being based on true events known as the Bell Witch haunting in Tennessee, (Courtney, I bet you've heard of it) which I find delightfully creepy.

Guess I'll go to bed now. Look how dark it's gotten! And there's no one here. Maybe I'll leave every light in the place on. You know, in case of ...uh... burglars! Yeah! Burglars!

Shit! I hate that I'm 35 and a half years old and afraid to go to bed! Damnit!

A Big Day!

I had a moment last night of complete and utter joy. Sheer happiness, where my heart felt like it was going to burst.
The reason?
The Boy did number two in the big potty for the first time.
The things that make you happy after you have kids are very different from before. I'm pretty sure I never thought poop would one day make me shriek with joy.
Damn, I wish I'd taken a picture.

Lobster Festival

Yesterday we checked out the Lobster Festival in Shediac, "Lobster Capitol Of The World," and home of the world's largest lobster. Look at that thing in the picture. It looks like it's going to eat the fisherman. We took the Boy to the midway, and he had fun going on kiddie rides. He also met Ronald McDonald, (whom the Boy calls "Old MacDonald") and Mommy ate a pretty tasty lobster roll, so it was all good.
