Goodbye Old Friend

This is the first microwave I ever owned, the first appliance I ever bought. I bought it in 1994, when I lived in Fredericton, and was just starting out.
My microwave has heated up food in 4 different apartments in three cities, in my first house for a while, outlasted two toasters, two of my cats, my marriage, and been there through the birth of my son and many nieces and nephews, and countless hairstyles, most of them bad.
I feel kind of sad that it has to go. But the nice shiny new one is a good consolation.

This Is How I Feel

Two nasty, awful, horrible, grumpy, sleep-deprived days. The Boy and I are both battling bad colds. Also, we discovered the hard way the Boy is allergic to penicillin, and he's now covered in an awful looking rash all over his poor little body.
It gets better...Last night a skinny, perky teenaged cashier at Zellers said, "You look tired!" To top it all off, I had to take my measurements for a bridesmaid dress I have to wear in October. I thought that really might kill me. I don't ever want to know my measurements again!
