What I'm Reading Right Now

Our stop at Stephen King's house in Bangor had me craving a good scare.
The copy I'm reading is my old paperback with the same creepy illustration. I bought it when I was in high school with money from my very first part-time job as an Irving girl.
When I'm reading it, I'm very careful that my fingers aren't anywhere near the scary mouth. No, I'm not kidding.

My Summer Reading

I decided yesterday to treat myself, and ordered 6 books I've been wanting from Amazon. I was going to wind up buying them anyway, and at least this way I'm saving on the shipping.

By The Way...

Does anyone know what these purple flowers are? They were growing all over Cape Cod when we were there at the beginning of the month.
They were trained all over fences and porches, and were just stunning.
They look a little like lilacs.

Lupins!

It's lupin time here. They grow like crazy in ditches in parts of the city.
I think they're so pretty.
I was in a gift store here once, and a tourist was buying a packet of lupin seeds and was exclaiming over them, and said she'd never seen them before.

Trip Souvenir

I just got this poster back last night from the frame place. It's a map of Nantucket ship wrecks, that I picked up in Nantucket.
It's an interesting souvenir, if maybe a little morbid.
I wish I was still on vacation.
I really, really wish I was filthy rich and could live on Nantucket with all the other filthy rich people.
