I Can't Put This Down

When I'm not working or chasing the Boy, I'm reading this. In fact, I'm about to head to bed with it right now.

Something I Haven't Finished

And probably never will. Rug hooking seems so appealing, but I just suck at it. I bought this kit when I was pregnant. I haul it out once in a while and work on it. I guess I was supposed to mix up the two shades of beige for the background. Also, I hooked some areas too close together, and now the stupid rug is starting to curl.
My God. It was pretty sad looking draped across the couch. But it looks even worse in the picture.
Oh well. Not everything you try is going to work out.

Why It Takes So Long To Finish My Crafty Projects

Here is the Boy with my Omnigrid quilting ruler. He was pretending it was a train, and was pushing it around.
He also has no pants on. He's very fond of being pant-less.

Something I Finished

This is my very first quilt, and it's actually finished and hanging up on my dining room wall. It's just a lap-sized sampler quilt that I made while taking a quilting class, but I'm very proud of it and all it's many flaws.
I started it September 11th, 2001 (yes, 9-11) and it took me just over 9 months to finish it. I thought that was a pretty long time. Then I had a kid. NowI have projects that sit around for years instead of months.
