Get A Life!

How come books with great mass appeal are always panned by critics and the "intellectually superior?"
I heard Solomon Rushdie is "unimpressed" with "The Da Vinci Code." Of course he is. "Da Vinci" is a huge blockbuster, was made into a movie, and is making a ton of $$ for Dan Brown. For all his critical acclaim, Solomon Rushdie's biggest work got him a death sentence. And rightly so. Have you read The Satanic Verses? Yawn!
Though, he did like "Bridget Jones's Diary," and even had a cameo in the movie. So I guess he isn't all bad.

Calgon, Take Me Away!
